Welcome to Copenhagen

Some views from our hotel window

Stroget (Walking street), Fiolstraede we walk to to get to our hotel

On a walk to find dinner
We found dinner at a great little place called Cafe Munk's.  It started as a hamburger and coffee joint then since the owner is Indian he began making Indian dishes and it was so popular it is now a hamburger/sandwich/Indian cuisine fusion and coffee joint.  My kind of place, eclectic.  We sat and ate pappadum and played Rummy while waiting for our Chicken Tikka Masala and Salmon Wrap.  The Indian beer was yummy!

On our after dinner walk, we spotted a basketball court.

Then we found the Copenhagen Opera Festival

After the festival we walked around to find a place to have a night cap.  We talked to the bartender about American sports as he had played American football in New Jersey while in high school and another American at the bar who was on holiday.  She had been to Sweden, in Copenhagen for a few days then off to Turkey where she used to work for a wedding of a friend.  We got the goods on Cappadocia and learned about the discovering of Ephesus which looks a helluvalot like Troy so now they are wondering if Troy wasn't a real place.   We then bantered with a Danish guy who slipped into English with a Scottish accent while he talked.  Unfortunately I didn't get a photo of the outside and thus, do not remember the name because it was long and in Danish. LOL
